If you want a good video that shows the entrenched problem with the fossil fuel industry that has the Australian political class captured: [this video] (Honest Government Ad | Carbon Capture and Storage)
Satire on fossil fuel capture of Australian politics.
I maintain a large garden and bury probably tons of organic matter underneath and in the beds. It is a pittance of carbon capture and no solution. Here is a fun video about carbon capture. [this video]
Since you didn't go into detail, I'm going to guess that you are referring to atmospheric CCS being widely deployed in the future. Unfortunately CCS is not and will not be practical. [1] [2] I can explain my critiques in more detail if you clarify exactly what your argument is. [1] [link] [2] Comical, but fact-based take: [this video]
Comical but fact-based critique of carbon capture.
Here's ( [this video] ) a satirical 'honest government ad' on carbon capture from an Australian viewpoint. We're attempting to apply dodgy accounting tricks to reality. It doesn't work. (I know there's greater transparency without it, but I too would really like []() markup for links on HN.)
Satirical honest government ad on carbon capture accounting.
Atmospheric carbon capture seems like an petroleum industry scam to me (check the 'Members' page of that website.) In principle it's what plants do, but plants do it using scale; there's a whole bunch of them. CO2 is under 500ppm in our air, and air isn't particularly dense in the first place; the amount of air you'd need to move through your capture plant is immense. On the Costs & Outlook page of this site, they list their potential feedstocks; it's all biomass, except for the 'Technical Potential "Unlimited"' column, which mentions Power-to-Liquids. But how does that actually work and does it actually make sense? Related parody of carbon capture: [this video]
The only thing carbon capture is good at is at capturing public millions in grants and storing them deep, deep into the accounts fossil fuel companies' bank accounts, where no tax officer can reach them. [this video]
Carbon Capture and Storage works by capturing research funds and burying it deep, deep into fossil fuel companies accounts, where no tax officer can reach them. [this video]
