HN users use it as a concentration, sleep and tinnitus aid, preferring steady noise over music.

Ten hours of uninterrupted pink noise, intended for relaxation and masking background sound. It is a long ambient audio loop rather than a spoken video.

“I've experimented with different kinds of noise, but this type seems to work the best” (HN, 2016)

These days, I tend to listen to this: [this video] I have a music composition and conducting background, so any kind of music ends up distracting me at some level.
Ten hours of pink noise as concentration aid instead of music.

I was in a similar situation a while ago. You should check out this app: [link] I went to a tinnitus clinic and they did a profile of the tinnitus I hear. Then they configured this app to amplify sounds of those frequencies to mask my tinnitus. When I'm hearing a low buzz the app can almost completely remove it, but it doesn't work quite as well with a high frequencies. You'll need rubber ear buds that form a tight fit with your ear canal. Since the app only amplifies sounds it doesn't really do anything in a totally quiet environment. You might want to play pink noise to give your hearing something to work with. I've experimented with different kinds of noise, but this type seems to work the best: [this video]
Pink noise to give hearing something to work with against tinnitus.

Yes. I do a lot of different ways of it though, whatever strikes my mood. Much of it is the many variations in chinese martial arts: (either no music, or mild music, like rain patter, nothing w/ lyrics) I find meditation is a lot about your breath, so you can do all of these either with normal breathing or these variations: 1) n/n*2/x breathing. (i'm only at n=3 atm) 2) full lung & empty lung variations (this link does a decent job explaining : [link] ) The different types of mediation i do are: 1) moving: Tai Chi 2) standing: holding ball (from tai chi) 3) sitting : Grand Circle of Heaven (found this link which explains it well : [link] ) (imagine the energy flow in a circle though your body as you breath) 4)(This one i think i made up on my own) : any of the above while having having pink noise playing: [this video]

I've read a few books on the topic recently, here's what works for me (some followed by resources): - going sleep early-ish (before 11 PM) - at least 7 hours of sleep - swimming before work - cutting down on meat - less worry (stoicism) - "Happy", Derren Brown - writing down a master to-do list of literally everything (it litters your head, really) - "Getting Things Done", David Allen - saying "no" to things you're not certain about - staying out of internet (internet-less Pomodoros) - "Deep Work", Cal Newport - listening to noise instead of music while working - [this video] But honestly, first 3 bullets are the most important ones; if done, I'm super concentrated the whole day (strangely enough, these 3 are basic stuff, you probably already know that from your mama).

Here are some artists, tools, etc that I have experienced "in the zone" states which I absolutely cannot achieve on my own without some kind of stimulation. Deepchord (dub techno) – [link] Binaural Beats – [link] Pink Noise – [this video] Sci-Fi background – [link]
