HN recommends it as a good look at how blower door tests measure a home's energy efficiency and expose cut corners.
Matt Risinger demonstrates a blower door test on a house, using a fan to measure air leakage and find where air gets in and out. It shows how the test reveals the quality of the build.
“A blower door test is a great measure of a homes energy efficiency and it's quite cheap to have done.” (HN, 2017)

> You’re describing my situation. How do you de-leakify a house? Do a blower door test and see where the air is coming in/out: * [link] * [this video] * [link] Then plug the holes.
The idea is that you don't rely on the process but measure the outcome with a device like this blower door tester. Builders are notorious for cutting corners with insulation and sealing air since it's not that obvious to the naked eye. The testing device reveals any cut corners. [this video]
