Cited as evidence against the assumption that thin modern phones are fragile.

JerryRigEverything puts the iPhone Air through scratch, bend and durability tests and is surprised that the ultra-thin phone proves very tough. The video is sponsored by dbrand cases.

“take a look at the latest Jerry Rig Everything video where it exceeded his typical scratch test resits and he was unable to bend it with his hands.” (HN, 2025)

I think you'd be surprised by how durable the newer phones are, especially the iPhone Air. It's hard to completely protect a glass screen from shattering since its a crystalline material encased in a metal enclosure that is more likely to dent than flex, absorb the impact and return to it's shape, but they keep getting better and I think most people could go without a case if they really wanted to. If you're curious about just how durable the iPhone Air is, take a look at the latest Jerry Rig Everything video where it exceeded his typical scratch test resits and he was unable to bend it with his hands. The Samsung Z Fold 7 fares better. He's able to bend it back, but unable to cause it to crack by bending it backwards. [link] Not sure if I see the point of using a craft knife to scratch the case though. Nor the point of using a lighter to kill pixels on the screen. More for the sheer horror of it than anything. If you think it's fragile, you're completely ignorant to the current state of phone durability. Literally you have zero idea what you're talking about and just commenting out of your ass based on pre-conceived bias. [this video] Quite frankly you are part of the reason that the modern internet is garbage. You present your "alternative-facts" as if they are truth despite having zero bearing on the truth. You're just a fucking disinformation bot like the MAGA crowd with just as much supporting evidence. You should be ashamed. But you're a green account created to respond so you don't have to show your true feelings on your real account. So you have no shame. You can't even commit to your own opinions on your own account. Despicable.
Evidence rebutting claim that modern phones are fragile.
