Used mainly as a political reference in arguments over what Trump actually said and in criticism of him, not as something to learn from.
NBC New York clip of President Trump at an April 2020 press conference asking whether disinfectant could be injected as a coronavirus treatment, following a presentation on sunlight and decontamination.

He said they were going to look into it. He didn't break trust with your example because he didn't make a statement of fact that it was a cure. He said they'd look into it. Now if all you do is read the title of articles or videos from left leaning news site, you may walk away with the belief that he's telling people to inject it. But he's not. He says they're going to look into it. Watch the video for yourself (and take note at the video title): [this video] . I want to add--I'm in no way indicating the right leaning news sites don't do the same. They've both screwed the country up by failing to report news without some bias slapped all over everything.
Used to argue Trump only said officials would look into it.
He never talked about putting bleach in your veins. He spoke about putting UV light and disinfectants inside the body. Both are obscure, but real treatments. Edit: [this video]
Watch the whole thing for yourself [this video] He talks about light for the first two things (cover the body and put it under the skin) and then switches to disinfectant. Was clearly talking about some kind of chemical to "clean the lungs" like you would clean you bathtub.
I beg to differ. Quote from Trump: “I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute ... is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning?" "Because you see it gets inside the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that” [link] Edit: found the actual video. Enjoy! [this video] The guy is a full on moron who thinks he is a full on genius.
Do you remember him suggesting to drink bleach or exposing yourself to UV? [0] Let's say for example the President keeps his yap shut about hydroxychloroquine or drinking bleach [0] etc and 10 people listening to Alex Jones die taking it because they are frightened. Now lets say POTUS goes on televised News and suggest doing dangerous things to 100 times the size of Alex Jones's audience and we end up with 1000 needless deaths of people that may not get COVID anyway. I expect Alex Jones to be an irresponsible sleaze bag but POTUS should have some restraint/intelligence. [0] [this video]
