Cited as a primary source for what Musk said about the Cybertruck's design goals and for its huge view count.
Jay Leno drives the Tesla Cybertruck with Elon Musk, who talks about the design, including the stainless steel body and bulletproof doors, and Leno demos the roll-up bed cover.
on Twitter, Seeking Alpha, Youtube and the vast majority of traditional media reporting and in analyst reports of the large banks, I see overwhelming praise and support for Musk. It helps to weigh by views/clicks, I like Hacker News but assume that it's quite small in the greater scheme of publication platforms. The CNBC Cybertruck video has 32m+ hits, I invite you to go through the comment section [0] The stock price also tells a story about what most people think. I do concede that the tone has shifted recently, but I still don't feel that the full picture of Musk's deeds are known to most people. In my perception, he has achieved a religious status [0] [this video]

>It looks like the bed is now always covered by a piece of glass It's not glass, it's a roll-up cover. You can see Jay Leno demo it in this video from 2021: [this video] Bed covers protect your stuff from thieves and also decrease drag (increase range). They are a smart idea, especially for electric trucks.

A WSJ article I read suggested, though they admitted it was only rumor, that Musk initially wanted the car to be bullet proof. I suspect in the end, since they're not advertising this "feature", the Cybertruck is likely more-resistant-than-average to bullets, but nothing that could be legally advertised. edit: Not a rumor after all, Musk specifically mentions in this clip: [this video]
Turns out it's not a rumor, when Musk did a drive with Jay Leno in 2021 he specifically mentions the stainless steel at being used to make the doors bullet proof [0]. 0. [this video]
